ZEDD'S OPINION:

It's been over ten years since the last Batman flick and they removed Tim Burton out of the equation, thank Heavens for that. Don't get me wrong, I love Tim Burton, I love Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride. But I think he screwed up big time on the Batman movies, too many stupid changes. When it comes to something that's been going on for close to a century you don't f*** with what works. Gothem looks like a real city, no stupid gothic giant statues everywhere. I wish they didn't go with the body armor like the last four films and you they should have used the same material they used in SPIDER-MAN, because you can't see Batman's eyes either. But this is the most fateful version of the comic book in a long, long time. I think the cast and crew should be commended. I like the supporting cast and on a whole the best BATMAN movie to date and I can't wait for the next one. I give BATMAN BEGINS...9 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I am in complete agreement this time. I wish we saw Sacrecrow's costume instead of just as mask. But it's a beginning. Plus without giving it away there is a plot twist I saw coming, but most people won't. It's cool, it's action packed, it's dramatic. It's the film for you unless you actually are a fan of Burton's Batman's flicks. I know what you're going to say, but Voltron Burton didn't direct BATMAN FOREVER and BATMAN AND ROBIN that was Joel Schumacher and you'd be correct. But Burton was the executive Producer of those two movies and obviously still had allot of control over the story. But his out totally and it's staying fateful to the comic and I like that. I give it...9 STARS as well.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CAST (The cast does a supurb job.)
+ ACTING (Perfect acting, why wasn't this nominated for Oscars?)
+ STORY (The story work.)
+ FATEFUL (The story stays fateful to the comic without any major changes.)
+ CHARACTERS (Seeing younger versions of the characters was interesting.)
+ NO TIM BURTON (Without Tim Burton, the twisted Gothem City is no more.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- NO SCARECROW COSTUME (Just a mask, that was a tad disappointing.)
- BODY ARMOR (Bruce doesn't wear body armor. He's too fast to worry about bullets.)
- MASK (You can't see Batman's eyes. The mask prevents it.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FANS OF TIM BURTON'S BATMAN FLICKS (If you're a fan of the Tim Burton's Batman flicks, then you won't like the more fateful adaptation.)
