The crew is going along their normal business when a survey ship looking for a good target to an experimental device to increase
terrafarming on dead worlds go horribly wrong when they discover Kahn and his people. The planet nearby exploded destroying
the atmosphere and their hopes for a new world.
Now armed with a ship and a insane need for revenge that would rival Captain Ahab Kahn goes after the the terrafarming
device and plans on killing Kirk who he blames for his problems.
Where the first movie was a little surreal this one goes back to old school Trek in a big way. Impressive space battles and
Kahn is eviler then ever. The slug monster is just cool. This is what Star Trek fans expect for their money. But it does
run a tad long and drags at times. 9 STARS.
I agree with Zedd again with this, I've been a Star Trek fan ever since there was a Star Trek and I stood in a very long line
to see that and I was not disappointed. 9 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ EFFECTS (The effects are great.)
+ STORY (Continuing from Space Seed is brilliant.)
+ CHARACTERS (As always never a disappointment.)
+ CAST (As always does a great job.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- DRAGS (It does drag on at point and is a tad long.)
- FAN BASED (If you aren't a big fan of STAR TREK and there are people out there who thinks it's only for "nerds"
then it's not for you.)
