The Phantom Menace USA (short title)

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. The planet Naboo is having a distute with the Trade Federation and the Trade Federation has set up a blockcade of Droid ships. Threatening to destroy any two ships.

Two Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi have been asked to fix this delicate policical time bomb. But they soon learn the twisted truth, the Trade Federation is worth with a dark Sith Master to invade the Planet Naboo.

After fleeing Naboo, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan end up on a remote desert planet to repair their ship. But meet a promising young man named Anakin Skywalker who agrees to help them win a Pod race to get the money they need for the parts they need to fix their ship, can they win the race to seek help in the galatic senate?

Now some "true" Star Wars fans were disappointed in this new series of movies, while I say their idiots. They were still sore over the redo on the old Star Wars movies and I say they were stupid about that to. I thought the older movies had flaws that needed fixing. How can anyone like effect errors? Anyway, about the Phantom Menace. Jar Jar Binks was annoying at times, but comedy relief can get a little annoying at times plus, sometimes it was hard to understand him at times. But basically I did like Jar Jar. He has a good heart, clumsy, but a good heart. The early years of Anakin Skywalker is interesting. But I think Greg Proops did a great job as the English speaking alien announcer of the Pod Race. 91/2 STARS.

Zedd makes very solid points, but there are some other things that needs mentioning, the plot seemed somewhat weak in places, the Pod Race for one. But that didn't really hurt it that much for me, being a true Star Wars fan and I can enjoy the characters and the action despite the thinned plotline. 9 STARS

+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
+ ACTING (Marvelous acting, but does anyone get nominated for an Oscar? NO!)
+ EFFECTS (The effects are amazing.)
+ CREATURES (I love the monster.)
+ FIGHTS (Unbelievably cool.)
+ DARTH MAUL (He is one cool villian.)
+ GREG PROOPS (Does a great job as the English speaking part of the two head alien annoucer of the Pod Race.)

- JAR JAR (Jar Jar does get annoying and hard to understand at times.)
- THIN (VOLTRON feels that this first prequel the plot is a bit toward the thin side.)

- FAN BASED (If for some reason you aren't a fan of the Star Wars series, and I know there must be some out there. You won't like this first prequel.)
